As the Year 2000 unfolded, the AltaCap Group was created from combining significant parts of Convergence Capital’s U.S. operations with affiliated investment and investment banking operations in Asia. AltaCap, Inc. (“AltaCap”) is charged with efforts originating from the Americas. AltaCap Group has been best known as a merger advisor – for local U.S. and cross-border transactions involving Asia. In the Americas, AltaCap has also advised on capital raising efforts involving a strategic or institutional investor. Real estate financings, including sale-leasebacks, have also been completed. On a principal basis, AltaCap is involved in selected private equity transactions as well as advising Group companies in other investment situations. Investments may be made via vehicles in the U.S. or in Hong Kong, Ireland, Jersey Isle, Malaysia, B.V.I., and other domiciles. While we are advisors and consultants – AltaCap is all about doing deals and getting results. We try to distinguish ourselves by delivering a superior level of INNOVATION with respect to strategic alternatives, deal structures, financial analysis, investment marketing strategy, and breadth of financial and strategic buyers. Creative ways are found to overcome negotiating difficulties – critical in how quickly a transaction is completed, what value and consideration is exchanged, and even whether a deal gets done at all.
